Well, I'd like to talk about my best friend, Leo, whom I've known since primary school ——
we grew up in the same neighbourhood, in fact in the same apartment block.

What really sets him apart is his incredible self-discipline. He's probably the most
well-organised person I've ever come across. Through our teenage years, while the rest
of us drifted along aimlessly, he kept a detailed schedule, set monthly goals for
himself, and stuck to them no matter what.

The experience that convinced me how valuable he is happened when I was preparing for
the college entrance examination. I was completely overwhelmed —— too many subjects,
no idea how to prioritise, and I could hardly sleep from anxiety. One weekend, he came
over, walked me through every subject, helped me break the syllabus down into
manageable chunks, and drew up a revision timetable that actually fitted my pace.
Thanks to his help, I managed to get into my current university, which had felt almost
impossible before.

Since then I've adopted his habit of planning ahead, and honestly, it has changed the
way I live and study. So I didn't choose him as my closest friend because we've known
each other the longest —— I chose him because he taught me self-discipline at a moment
when I genuinely needed a role model. That, to me, is what makes him important.

可替换槽位{PERSON 名字}, {AGE 相识年龄}, {SCHOOL 起点}, {HABIT 计划/自律}, {EXAM 升学考}, {HELP 帮我的具体事}

高分词汇银行:self-discipline 自律 / well-organised 有条理 / come across 遇到 / drift along aimlessly 漫无目标地混日子 / break sth down into manageable chunks 拆解成小块 / draw up a revision timetable 制定复习表 / prioritise 分清主次 / a role model 榜样 / adopt a habit 养成习惯。

  1. 定语从句:whom I've known since primary school, ...
  2. 让步倒装/让步:while the rest of us drifted along, he kept ...
That, to me, is what makes him important.
  4. "本以为不可能"结构:which had felt almost impossible before.

Part 3

  • Q 童年友谊重不重要?→ I'd argue that childhood friendship shapes who we become, because it teaches trust, compromise and loyalty long before we understand the words.
Texts and video calls are convenient, but they can't replace the emotional nuance of body language and eye contact; that's why we still fly across the country to see our loved ones. Having said that, social media does help long-distance friendships survive, which is a fair trade-off.

I'd like to describe my uncle Liang, who runs a small but highly successful chain of
bakery-and-café shops in our city.

What makes his story so impressive is that he started from absolutely nothing —— about
fifteen years ago, he was just a delivery driver with no savings and no business
background. He taught himself baking by watching online tutorials late at night after
his shift, and launched his first shop with a single second-hand oven. What struck me
most is his keen business sense: instead of competing with huge brands on price, he
focused on quality ingredients and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, which quickly won him
a loyal customer base.

Beyond the commercial success, I admire how he treats his staff —— he pays them fairly,
gives them a share of the profits, and many of them have stayed with him for a decade.
He once told me that a business only succeeds when the people behind it feel respected,
and I've never forgotten that.

So for me, my uncle represents what can be achieved through hard work and smart
decisions. His story proved to me that success isn't reserved for the privileged ——
it's built day by day, brick by brick, through persistence and good judgement.
Naturally, he's someone I look up to, and his journey has inspired my own attitude
towards work to this day.

换成"家族企业"就强调 three generations;换成"成功公司白领"就强调 rose from a junior position to a project manager

高分词汇银行:run / operate 经营 / start from nothing 白手起家 / a keen business sense 灵敏的商业嗅觉 / win a loyal customer base 赢得忠实客源 / cosy 温馨 / share of the profits 分红 / persistence 坚持 / look up to sb 敬佩某人 / brick by brick 一步步。

Part 3

A successful business rarely depends on one factor; I'd say it combines a clear product, strong leadership and, above all, trust with customers.
Generally yes, because start-ups create jobs and boost innovation, but support must be selective so that taxpayers' money isn't wasted on unviable ventures.

I want to talk about my friend Anna, who is probably the most gifted person I know.

She's a professional illustrator, but what amazes me is how she can pick up almost any
skill she sets her mind to. She taught herself to play the guitar purely from YouTube
videos, and she speaks three languages fluently, including French, which she learned
entirely on her own. The thing is, she never seems to force it —— creativity just
seems to flow out of her naturally.

The moment I really understood her talent was when she designed a series of posters
for a local charity run. She turned a simple idea into something visually stunning in
just one night, using nothing but her tablet and imagination. It wasn't just the
technique that impressed me; it was her fresh way of looking at ordinary things ——
she can see beauty and patterns where I only see clutter.

Being around her has taught me that creativity isn't a rare gift you're born with, but
a habit you cultivate through curiosity and practice. She once told me, "Talent is
just an appetite for learning," and I think that sums her up perfectly.

So for me, Anna is living proof that when passion meets persistence, extraordinary
things happen. She's the reason I started learning to draw myself, and even though I'm
still a beginner, she's shown me that it's never too late to start.

可替换槽位{PERSON}, {TALENT 才艺}, {PORTFOLIO 作品/成就}, {INSPIRATION 给我的启发}

  • 画画的孩子:改成 my little cousin, who is only seven, but produces the most imaginative crayon drawings,叙事聚焦童真与色彩。
  • 运动员:改成 a swimmer who trains at five every morning,重点放自律与奖牌。
  • 想见的名人:改成 a singer I'd love to meet in person,重点放作品打动我的细节。

高分词汇银行:gifted 有天赋的 / pick up a skill 学会一项技能 / set one's mind to 下定决心做 / visually stunning 视觉惊艳 / cultivate 培养 / living proof 活生生的证明 / passion meets persistence 热爱遇上坚持 / sum sb up 概括某人。

Part 3

I believe learning an instrument is hugely beneficial —— it trains patience and discipline, and studies show it sharpens the brain. That said, it should never be forced; otherwise children may end up resenting it.
Creativity thrives on curiosity, so exposing children to art, nature and open-ended questions matters far more than natural talent.

The person who comes to mind is my grandmother's neighbour, Aunt Mei, who has turned
her entire balcony into a miniature garden.

I'm not talking about a couple of potted flowers —— she grows tomatoes, chillies,
basil and even strawberries up high on shelves, and her place feels like a little
urban jungle. Watching her work, I realised gardening isn't just a hobby for her; it's
a way of life rooted in patience and respect for nature.

She once explained to me that every plant has its own rhythm —— some need more sun,
some need less water, and the trick is simply to observe rather than to control. That
philosophy really struck me, because it applied to people just as much as to plants.
What I admire most is her consistency: she tends her garden every single morning,
rain or shine, and she never uses chemical fertilisers, preferring compost she makes
herself.

Her influence rubbed off on me —— I started growing mint on my own windowsill, and
strangely, it made me calmer and more attentive to small details.

So for me, Aunt Mei shows how ordinary people can make the world greener, one pot at a
time. She taught me that caring for nature doesn't require grand gestures —— it starts
with the little patch of soil right outside your door, and with the patience to let
things grow. That's an outlook I'd like to keep for life.

可替换槽位{PERSON}, {PLANTS}, {SALON 地点=阳台}, {PHILOSOPHY 理念}, {IMPACT 对我的影响}

高分词汇银行:miniature garden 迷你花园 / urban jungle 都市丛林 / be rooted in 植根于 / observe rather than control 观察而非控制 / rain or shine 风雨无阻 / chemical fertiliser 化肥 / compost 堆肥 / rub off on sb 潜移默化影响某人 / one pot at a time 一盆一盆地。

Part 3

  • Q 学校该教环保吗?→ Absolutely, because habits form early; if children learn to sort waste and save water at school, they'll carry these habits into adulthood.
I'd lean towards rewards as a starting point —— fines create fear, whereas incentives build long-term motivation; ideally, a combination, with rewards first and penalties only as the last resort.
  • Q 家长该教孩子保护环境吗?→ Yes, through example, since children imitate what they see at home long before they understand slogans.

The place I'd most love to go back to is Dali, an ancient town in Yunnan province,
which I visited last spring on a student's budget.

Honestly, the whole trip cost me less than eight hundred yuan —— we travelled by
overnight train, stayed in a cheap youth hostel, and ate most meals at street stalls.
That trip made me realise you don't need luxury to enjoy a place properly.

What made Dali unforgettable wasn't any famous sight, but the small everyday moments.
I remember cycling along the shore of Erhai Lake at sunrise, with the mist rising off
the water and the Cangshan mountains behind me —— a scene so quiet and beautiful that
it's still vivid in my mind. In the old town, we wandered through narrow alleys, tried
local snacks like rose-cake, and sat in a tiny café listening to a street musician
play folk songs.

I also had my first experience of rock climbing on a nearby cliff that afternoon.
Although I was nervous at the top, the feeling of achievement afterwards was
absolutely worth it.

So when people ask me where they should travel, Dali is always my first
recommendation, because it combines nature, culture and affordable food in one place.
More importantly, that trip taught me that the best travel isn't about distance or
luxury —— it's about how openly you embrace new experiences. I'd love to go back and
discover more of it, and I hope one day I will.

可替换槽位{CITY}, {REGION}, {SEASON}, {COST}, {NATURE=湖/山}, {FOOD}, {ACTIVITY 首次体验}

  • 花费少的外出日:只讲其中一天,强调 a single day on almost nothing
I hired an old bike and travelled the countryside.
I had to get up at 4 a.m. and wait an hour for the sun to rise.

高分词汇银行:on a shoestring/on a tight budget 穷游 / youth hostel 青年旅舍 / street stall 街边摊 / vivid 生动的 / wander through narrow alleys 穿行小巷 / folk song 民谣 / the feeling of achievement 成就感 / embrace new experiences 拥抱新体验 / tranquil 宁静的。

Part 3

Cost, visa hassle and language barriers are the main reasons; many people also simply prefer domestic trips because they can travel without planning.
Free travel gives you flexibility and deeper local immersion, whereas package tours offer convenience and safety —— it really depends on whether you value spontaneity or peace of mind.
  • Q 节假日多长合适?→ I'd say one to two weeks, long enough to truly unwind and explore, yet short enough not to drain your budget or your family life.

I'd like to describe a situation that tested my patience and problem-solving skills.

It happened about a year ago, when I needed to submit a crucial final project online
by midnight. For some reason, my laptop suddenly shut down and refused to switch back
on —— the screen just stayed black, and I could feel panic rising. To make things
worse, it was a Friday night, and every repair shop in the area was closed.

I still had a deadline to meet and no plan B until my flatmate walked in and found me
staring helplessly at a dead machine. Instead of panicking with me, he calmly
suggested we test the power supply, then the battery, and finally, after a bit of
googling, we discovered the charger had short-circuited. He lent me his own laptop for
the remaining three hours, and somehow I managed to finish the report just before the
deadline.

That night taught me two things. First, it's worth staying calm under pressure,
because panic only narrows your options. Second, a reliable friend is worth more than
any expensive device —— his help really saved the day.

Looking back, I actually feel grateful for that scare, because it made me more careful
and showed me how to handle similar situations on my own. I genuinely believe that
trouble, handled properly, can end up being a valuable lesson rather than a disaster.

可替换槽位{PROBLEM 设备/堵车/停电}, {TIME}, {PLACE}, {HELP 帮手}, {SOLUTION}, {LESSON 教训}

I was stuck in gridlock for nearly three hours on a rainy evening, and I passed the time by listening to podcasts and finally catching up with an old friend by phone.
  • 团队工作:结尾改 working as a team turned out to be the key.
  • 停电:a sudden blackout on a sweltering summer night; we lit candles and turned it into a board-game evening.

高分词汇银行:crucial deadline 关键截止 / panic rising 恐慌涌上 / plan B 备选方案 / short-circuit 短路 / save the day 力挽狂澜 / under pressure 压力之下 / narrow one's options 缩小选择 / look back on 回看 / a valuable lesson 宝贵的教训。

Part 3

  • Q 为什么人们老想买新设备?→ Marketing and social status play a big role; people associate the latest device with productivity or identity, though in most cases the old one works perfectly well.
A combination of better public transport, congestion charges and encouraging cycling would help far more than simply building wider roads, which often attracts more cars in the long run.
  • Q 现代人是不是更没耐心了?→ To some extent, yes —— with delivery in minutes and instant replies, our tolerance for waiting has dropped considerably, which is both a blessing and a problem.

I'd like to talk about my grandmother's seventieth birthday dinner, which we held at
our family home two years ago.

For weeks my mother had been quietly planning the menu, and my sister secretly baked a
home-made cake decorated with my grandmother's favourite flowers. On the day, every
relative I could think of crowded into our living room —— aunts, uncles, cousins and
the little ones running around between the tables.

What I remember most vividly is not the food itself, but the atmosphere of laughter.
Someone found my grandmother's old photo album, and page by page, everyone began to
share memories —— how my parents first met, embarrassing childhood stories, and the
things my grandmother had done for the family over the decades. We were all smiling,
some of us even tearing up a little.

At the end of the evening, my grandmother stood up and said, quietly but proudly, that
watching her children and grandchildren grow into caring people was the greatest gift
she could ever receive. That simple sentence moved me more than any speech I've ever
heard.

That evening reminded me that family isn't just about shared blood —— it's about
shared moments, stories and love. In our busy modern lives, we often forget how
important it is to slow down and be together. That's why, whenever I can, I make sure
I'm there for these occasions; they are, after all, the memories we actually live for.

可替换槽位{OCCASION 生日/春节/中秋}, {FOOD 蛋糕/年菜}, {MEMORY 老照片}, {SPEECH 感言}, {EMOTION 感动}

  • 特殊蛋糕:把 {FOOD} 扩展成主事件,加 a cake shaped like the house we grew up in.
  • 为家人骄傲:结尾换 my brother's graduation speech made the whole family proud.
  • 别人向你道歉:改成 an argument with my cousin was healed when he apologised at dinner.
  • 传统故事:加一段 my grandfather told the old legend of the Moon Goddess during the meal.

高分词汇银行:seventieth birthday 七十大寿 / crowded into 挤满了 / vividly 清晰地 / tear up 落泪 / move sb deeply 深深打动 / shared blood 血缘 / shared memories 共同记忆 / slow down and be together 慢下来团聚 / occasions 场合 / memories we live for 我们为之而活的回忆。

Part 3

Restaurants are convenient and save effort, but home-cooked meals carry emotional value, so I'd say for major festivals most families still prefer home, because it's the togetherness that matters.
  • Q 为什么特殊节日要有专属食物?→ Food acts as a gateway to memory and identity; the taste can instantly transport people back to childhood, which is why festive dishes are so deeply tied to culture.
  • Q 一家人吃饭聊天重要吗?→ Very —— it's often the only moment of the day when family actually talks; if that goes, family bonds quietly weaken.

I'd like to talk about my journey of teaching myself English, which has become one of
the most meaningful things I've ever done.

I was never the top student at language, and for years I thought I simply wasn't
gifted at it. Everything changed in my second year of college, when I missed the
chance to join an exchange programme simply because my speaking was too weak. That
failure hurt, but it also lit a fire in me.

Instead of cramming for exams, I completely changed my approach: I started watching
English dramas with subtitles, listening to podcasts on my daily commute, and
recording myself speaking every night until my pronunciation stopped sounding robotic.
At first I made embarrassing mistakes, but I kept at it, day after day, and slowly the
gaps began to close.

The breakthrough came about eight months later, when I held my first real
conversation in English with a foreigner at a book fair —— I understood almost
everything, and he even complimented my accent. I can't describe how proud I felt at
that moment.

That experience reshaped my long-term goal: eventually, I want to work in an
international company where I can use English every day, and I'm gradually working
towards it by practising every single morning.

For me, this journey proved that talent matters less than consistent effort. If you
keep showing up, improvement is almost guaranteed —— and that lesson, I believe, will
serve me for the rest of my life.

可替换槽位{SUBJECT 英语/编程/吉他}, {MOTIVATION 打击/触发点}, {METHOD 方法}, {BREAKTHROUGH 突破}, {DREAM 梦想工作}

I've come to realise my perfect job isn't about salary, but about using my skills and growing every day.
  • 近期改变的计划:Focus 在 why I had to change my original plan and what the new one looks like.

高分词汇银行:light a fire in sb 点燃斗志 / cram for exams 临时抱佛脚 / commute 通勤 / sound robotic 很机械 / keep at it 坚持 / close the gaps 缩小差距 / breakthrough 突破 / compliment 夸奖 / reshape a goal 重塑目标 / consistent effort 持续努力 / keep showing up 坚持出现。

Part 3

  • Q 学好外语重要吗?→ In an increasingly globalised world, absolutely —— it opens doors in education, careers and friendships, and it also trains your brain to think in new ways.
Both have merits, but I'd say a mix is ideal —— self-study builds independence, while groups keep you motivated and correct your mistakes.
  • Q 人应该胸怀大志吗?→ Ambition is a double-edged sword; it drives us forward, but taken too far it can lead to burnout or neglecting relationships. Balance is the key.
  • Q 父母该支持孩子的抱负吗?→ Yes, supportive parents are crucial, though support should mean guidance, not forcing their own dreams onto their children.

三、Part 1 必考快速模板(Work/Study、Home、Hometown、Area)

To be honest, … / It really depends, but … / Speaking for myself, … / What I like most is …

题库里其余 30+ 个 Part 1 话题(Tidiness 整洁 / Mirrors 镜子 / Teachers 老师 / Social media 社交媒体 / Dream & ambition 梦想 / Music / Science / Watch 手表 / Websites / Parks / Cars / Shopping / Clothing / Headphones / Jokes & comedies 笑话喜剧 / Outer space 外太空 / Singing / Evening time / Films / History / Old buildings / Food / Gifts / Hobby / Reading / Walking / Typing / Childhood activities / Day off 等)——这些是短问答,不需要长篇模板,用同一条万能短答公式即可: 直接回答(1句)→ 理由(1句)→ 细节/例子(1句) 例如:Q Do you like music?Definitely, I'd be lost without it. I listen to indie folk on my commute every morning — it sets the mood for the whole day.

  • 补丁M · 消息与沟通类(很久没收到回复 / 花很久回复 / 社交媒体趣事):换 T6 骨架,事件改 an experiment to reply only by hand-written lettersa message that took my friend two months to answer because she'd been studying abroad;Part 3 讲"消失的耐心"与"社媒利弊"。
  • 补丁P · 媒介与内容类(有趣视频 / 电视节目 / App / 名人广告 / 电影 / 当地新闻):换 T8 学习骨架,把"学会技能"改成"看完某内容后的收获",聚焦 content(如 a documentary about deep-sea creatures that changed how I see the ocean);Part 3 讲"视频vs书本""年轻老少口味差异"。
  • 补丁O · 物件类(有用的书 / 动物故事书 / 童年玩具 / 家中老物件):用 家族传承叙事my grandfather's vintage watch, which has been passed down for three generations, carries the family story on its worn face;Part 3 讲"为什么留旧物/纸书vs电子书"。
A quiet place — my school library's back corner; it's where I actually get work done when my phone distracts me at home.
Everyone raves about this famous spot, but honestly, I found it underwhelming — crowded, overpriced and nothing like the photos. The real highlight that day was the unexpected market nearby。

I'd say the main reason is that … / It comes down to …
advantages vs disadvantagesOn the one hand, … On the other hand, …
Difference 类 (年轻/老少/古今)The key difference lies in … / Generally speaking, …
I'd argue that … / To be honest, it depends, but …

高频提分表达(Part 3 专用)it varies from person to person / to a certain extent / there's no one-size-fits-all answer / it's a double-edged sword / I'd say it's largely a matter of / over time, things have changed drastically
